Eligible journals: fully OA and hybrid titles within the subscription collections of individual institutions. In other words, the journal in which you wish to publish must be part of a collection to which your institution subscribes. You can check here to see if the journal is included in your institution's collection.
The APC for fully Open Access journals is usually discounted by 20%.
Publication types: Original Research Papers, Review Papers, Brief Communications, Short Reports, Case Reports.

How does an author publish an Open Access article?
- We recommend using institutional email addresses when submitting a manuscript.
- Once your article is accepted for publication, the publisher will send you an email informing you that your article can be published Open Access free of charge. After clicking on Select your publishing route or Visit SAGE´s Open Access portal, you will be taken to a page displaying the article’s metadata.
- In response to the question "Would you like to make your article open access?" choose the answer "Yes, make my article open access".
- You will then be prompted to select the corresponding author (Register/Log In), choose the Creative Common license type (we recommend choosing CC BY), and specify who owns it (under License selection). Next, you will complete the Journal Contributor’s Publishing Agreement with the publisher.
- In the Assign Payer section, select the person responsible for the APC.
- Once the publisher approves your request, your article will be published in OA mode.
