How does an author publish an Open Access article?

Articles are submitted via: https://authors.aps.org/Submissions/. It is important that the selected affiliation is crucial for the system to recognize the corresponding author.

The identity of the corresponding author must be confirmed. This author is responsible for managing the manuscript during the peer-review process and is recognized as eligible for free Open Access publishing under the agreement with APS.

When submitting the article, authors do not choose whether they want open access or not. Eligible articles accepted for publication will automatically be published in Open Access under a CC BY license.
