Eligible journals: fully OA titles and hybrid titles in the subscription collections of individual institutions. This means that the journal in which you want to publish must be part of a collection to which your institution subscribes. How to publish:

  1. Paper preparation
    • select a journal at Emerald Publishing (can be filtered by field) and then click on Submit your paper


  2. Paper submission
    • log in using your login and password or your ORCID iD to ScholarOne Emerald Publishing:

    • Step 4 - Authors and institutions - please use an institutional email, the system will automatically recognise your eligibility for free publication
    • Step 6 - Details and comments - confirm your interest in OA publishing by clicking on: “Yes, I want to publish my article as Open Access”

  3. Review procedure
    • your paper will undergo a review procedure
  4. Publication decision
    • your paper has been accepted for publication, you will receive an Acceptance letter within 30 days, and you should also receive a link to the licence CC-BY 4.0, fill it in, sign it and send it back according to the instructions

  5. Payment for publishing
    • no action is required from the author - the eligibility for free publication is automatically confirmed based on the email domain of the author
