How does an author publish an Open Access article?

When submitting a manuscript, the corresponding author must use his/her institutional e-mail address.

In the e-mail notifying of the acceptance of an article, the author receives a link to the system (eRights), where he/she confirms the authors’ details and proceeds to article license selection:

  • The system should automatically recognise permission for free “Gold Open Access” publishing and offer this option to the author.
  • For OA publishing, it is necessary to choose the “Institutionally Paid Open Access” option (this option means that everything is already paid for under the transformative agreement and no additional costs are incurred) and then we recommend choosing a CC-BY license (the default option).
