Eligible journals: fully OA titles and hybrid titles in the subscription collections of the individual institutions. This means that the journal in which you want to publish must be part of a collection to which your institution subscribes. List of titles in collection - here, you can check if the journal you want to publish in is part of a collection your institution subscribes to.
Publication types: research, review, brief report, case report a rapid communications article
Contract duration: 1. 1. 2026 - 31. 12. 2028

How does an author publish an Open Access article?

1. After paper preparation and submission, the author must use (in step 4) an institutional email address, which the system will automatically recognize to confirm their eligibility for free publication.

2. In the Details and Comments section the author confirms the interest in publishing in the OA mode by clicking on: “Yes, I want to publish my article as Open Access”.

3. The paper will undergo a review procedure.

4. Once the paper has been accepted for publication, the author will receive an Acceptance letter within 30 days and a link to the
CC BY 4.0 licence. The author need to fill it in, sign it and send it back according to the instructions.

5. Payment for publishing - no action is required from the author. The eligibility for free publication is automatically confirmed based on the affiliation of the corresponding author.

6. Publishing an article - the article is published in Open Access mode in the title you selected at www.emerald.com/insight
