How does an author publish an Open Access article?
When submitting a manuscript:
- A corresponding author should use his/her institutional e-mail address (domains listed as part of the
transformative agreement: muni.cz; cuni.cz; fnmotol.cz; vfn.cz; fnplzen.cz; fnhk.cz; fnkv.cz; ftn.cz;
bulovka.cz). The system should also correctly recognize subdomains. Alternatively, the publisher may use the
ORCID or the author’s affiliation to identify eligibility to publish free of charge in OA mode.
- Already at this stage, an author should apply for Open Access publication
- In the “Open Access Agreement” step, select the “Eligibility Requirement” option “Eligible”.
- And the name of your institution (it must be one of the above).
Opt-out: Authors can opt for an exception and instead publish their article traditionally (paid
access, behind a paywall).
