The first transformative agreements with Emerald and Taylor & Francis

The National Library of Technology (NLT) and the publisher Emerald Publishing entered into a two-year transformative agreement.
It gives Czech researchers from seven higher education institutions and libraries, including the entire Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, access to articles in the Emerald's Premier Collection and Management portfolios. In addition, the agreement will meet
the needs of researchers through its publication part, where the authors of the above-mentioned institutions can publish free of charge
in Open Access. This will happen through their subscription collection titles. You can find statements by Jiří Jirát, head of the License Administrative Unit at CzechELib, and many other things of interest in the press release of the publisher Emerald Publishing and
on the CzechELib website.

The NLT also entered into the first ever Read and Publish agreement with Taylor & Francis Group. This two-year agreement will provide
18 Czech institutions
with access not only to a wide range of titles but also the option to publish in Open Access. The publication part
of the agreement includes over 2,000 journals and should cover almost 100% of the publishing activities of the CzechELib consortium
in 2022. You can read the complete press release on the website of the Taylor & Francis Group publishers.
